NOVACARE REHABILITATION BRINGS CLINICAL EXPERTISE TO WESTERN RESERVE RACING

Official partnership to deliver sports medicine and physical therapy to racing trail events

Northern OH: NovaCare Rehabilitation is pleased to announce a partnership with Western Reserve Racing as the official sports medicine and physical therapy provider for Western Reserve Racing Trail Events. With this partnership, NovaCare’s highly trained clinical team will provide participating athletes access to sports medicine and physical therapy at all trail events and education on performance enhancement, injury prevention and physical rehabilitation.

Western Reserve Racing was founded in 2012 by Joe Jurczyk, Jim Christ and Vince Rucci, three veteran runners and race directors. Over the years, the company has become one of the leading regional race management companies in Ohio. Western Reserve Racing aims to provide runners and race directors with Ohio’s finest race experience. The company is focused on promoting fitness, celebrating accomplishment and encouraging exploration of local communities and park systems.

“Western Reserve Racing takes pride in being a leader in organizing premier running events,” said Mr. Vince Rucci, co-founder and partner of Western Reserve Racing. “During training and racing the miles add up and it is essential to focus on injury prevention and treatment. Our partnership with NovaCare Rehabilitation as the official sports medicine and physical therapy provider of Western Reserve Racing Trail Events gives our participants access to a trustworthy and reliable resource to keep them doing what they love.”

The health and safety of Western Reserve Racing participants is vital to their success on the trails, something that NovaCare Rehabilitation is acutely aware of. This partnership will provide medical services that directly benefit the overall experience of the runners and enhance the level of care and coverage that helps them stay on the trail or get back to the trail after sustaining an injury.

“NovaCare Rehabilitation is excited to partner with Western Reserve Racing for all of the 2019 trail events,” said Mr. Jeffrey Lambert-Shemo, A.T., director of sports medicine for NovaCare Rehabilitation in northeast Ohio. “We are committed to treating and educating the participating athletes so that they can “Stay on the Trails” for the entirety of 2019. Our specially trained sports medicine team is also pleased to offer running analysis using dorsaVi revolutionary wireless wearable technology. The dorsaVi system allows our clinicians to assess an athlete’s running form while out on the road or trail versus on a treadmill to help increase performance and decrease chance of injury. In addition, we will offer health and wellness education events throughout the year to provide participants even more support in helping them to reach their racing goals.”
