BURNING RIVER 2015
2015 is right around the corner and Western Reserve Racing is happy to share some exciting announcements for the 9th running of Burning River!
Distances – BR will now feature a 50 mile option in addition to the 100 mile and 4 or 8 person relay events.  The 50 miler follows the first half of the BR100 point-to-point course.  Fast, scenic, and perfect for a first timer or achieving a new personal best.
Start/Finish Lines – All Burning River events begin at Squire’s Castle in Willoughby Hills Ohio.  The 100 mile and relay races still conclude in Cuyahoga Falls, while the 50M finishes within the Cuyahoga Valley National Park at the historic Stanford House.
Start Times – 100 mile solo runners begin their journey an hour earlier than past years and avoid road traffic at 4:00.  50 mile and relay runners can hit the snooze button a few times for the start at 6:00.
Relay Teams – Teams of 4 or 8 runners can now register and pay separately or all at once. Our new registration platform features lower processing fees and makes creating a team and designating a captain quick and easy.
Host Hotels – Sheraton Suites, steps from the 100M finish line, is providing great deals on rooms for participants and crew in addition to hosting a spacious packet pick up and pre-race dinner. Stanford House, located at the 50M finish line, has one of a kind rooms and campsites nestled into the heart of Ohio’s only National Park
See lodging options below for details.
Pre-Race Dinner – We are anxiously anticipating the return of the pre-race pasta dinner!  Runners will be able to purchase buffet style dinners in advance and relax with crew and competition while enjoying an interesting speaker.  Details coming soon!
Packet Pickup – Picking up your bib and race gear will be a breeze with plenty of parking, separate lines for solo and relay runners, and more of a race expo feel.
We hope you’ll join us for this unique 100 mile Ohio adventure.  Visit our website for more 2015 race details and registration!
